Mental Health First Aid Basic

June 5 & 6, 2021 – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

This workshop teaches participants how to help someone who is showing signs of a mental health problem or is experiencing a mental health crisis. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained, Mental Health First Aid is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved.

Cost is $250.00 per person and includes a manual and a certificate of completion. The course runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM both days. Participants must attend both days to obtain MHFA Certification.

Based on tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, this group will give you tools to cope with anxiety, stress, and difficult thoughts and feelings in a new way. Find out practices to tap into the present moment, accept what is, and engage in life in a way that you value most.

Open to age 13-17
