Come out and namaste and play! Yoga is great for everyone and ALL ABILITIES are welcome! Enjoy music, movement and mindfulness in fun, relaxing classes for kids and teens!
Materials: yoga mat
Group limit: 10
Deadline to register: January 12, 2022
Note: As per SHA Guidelines, teens are required to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccine
Yoga for All! – Why Yoga?
The research on the positive effects of yoga on mental and physical wellbeing is growing every day. It is known to be an effective complement to clinical therapy to help manage and cope with symptoms of trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, attention and concentration. Yoga promotes relaxation, self-soothing and body awareness skills and provides an opportunity to apply the cognitive therapy tools and techniques learned in therapy. Yoga also provides an opportunity to meet others and develop relationships, which has also been shown to help alleviate symptoms of emotional distress.
