Caring Hearts Grief Group for Children – On-Going

The experience of loss is not singular nor static. Grief can come in waves. Caring Hearts, in collaboration with Joshua Tree Learning Centre is offering a Grief Group for children so they can gather together once a week to learn skills that will help them cope with grief and loss due to the death of a loved one.

Grief is different for everyone; therefore we have created groups to meet your child/teen where they are at. Some may need/want more group time and others, not so much. Groups are ongoing throughout the year, and children/teens can attend as little or as often as they would like to.

The class is offered to children ages 5-14. Class size will be determined by registration needs such as number and age of participants.

Minimum Participants: 2 people
Maximum Participants: 6 people
Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Duration: 60 minutes

Class Dates: Every other Friday

Price: $25.00 per session (includes 8 sessions with support from Caring Hearts)

Caring Hearts Grief Camp for Children & Youth

For Children Ages 5-8:

Caring Hearts Grief Camp is a gentle, supportive space for children and teens who are grieving the loss of a loved one. If your child could benefit from connection, healing activities, and compassionate support, we’re here for you.

Activities include:
· Equine therapy
· Yoga & mindfulness
· Land-based learning
· Art therapy & creative movement

Time: 10am to 6pm (Please arrive 15 mins early)

Location: Beaver Creek Ranch & Horse Centre (near Lumsden, SK)

Losing a life partner is one of the most profound losses we can experience. At Joshua Tree Learning Centre, we are creating a safe, compassionate space for adults who are grieving the death of their spouse or life partner.

This 4-session group will be guided by Nathalie Brissette-Chenery, MA.Ed., RCC, RCAT, CPT, CPT-SK #1823, RCAT #279-R-21, Registered Clinical Counsellor #14611, who brings warmth, expertise, and care to each session.

Duration: 90 minutes

Dates: Every Tuesday in May (5, 13, 19, 26)
