Yoga

The research on the effects of yoga on mental and physical wellbeing is growing every day. It is known to be an effective complement to clinical therapy to help manage and cope with symptoms of trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, attention and concentration. Yoga promotes relaxation, self-soothing and body awareness skills and provides an opportunity to apply the cognitive therapy tools and techniques learned in therapy. Yoga also provides an opportunity to meet others and develop relationships, which has also been shown to help alleviate symptoms of emotional distress.
