Wendy Martin, BSW,
Registered Social Worker #1859

Wendy is a registered Social Worker with 18+ years of counselling experience.  Her experience includes working with individuals (adults and teens), families, and groups and with a wide variety of topics including, but not limited to, anxiety/depression and other mental illness, addiction, stress, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship issues, trauma, communication, crisis, sexual assault, relationship violence, chronic pain, and chronic conditions.

Wendy’s approach to counselling is both person-centered and collaborative. Drawing from an array of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, she will tailor the counselling experience, and adapt as necessary, to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

On a personal note, the most important thing in the world to Wendy is spending time with family, friends, her cat Niko, and her grand-puppy Zeta.  She also likes to read, cook, and do anything in nature, especially work in her perennial garden.
