Monica Garinger is a Registered Psychologist (Provisional) in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her areas of competence include Counselling Psychology and Educational Psychology. Monica has extensive experience as a teacher, administrator, and counsellor for the past fifteen years. She graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Education and a Master’s of Educational Psychology.

Monica has experience working with a variety of student needs. She has experience working with students in mainstream and alternative settings, high-needs classrooms, and providing individual one/one support. Some of the areas she has experience working with include ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, behavioural concerns, grief/loss, social skills development, self-harm, and trauma.

She firmly believes in the holistic model and uses it as a tool to help create balance in clients’ lives. Monica utilizes concepts from Brief Solutions Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in her counselling services for children, teenagers, and adults. She also integrates Positive Psychology and Mindfulness into her practice. Monica offers psycho-educational assessment for Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities for children, adolescents and adults.
