Upasna Mehta is an internationally trained educator with over 16 years of experience supporting children aged 6 to 12 across the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the British National Curriculum. She has worked with a diverse range of learners—advanced students who thrive on challenge and exploration, as well as students who benefit from gentle, targeted academic support to strengthen foundational skills. Known for her calm, nurturing presence, Upasna creates learning environments where every child feels valued, confident, and motivated.

Upasna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Education, and a Master’s Degree in English Literature. She is also recognised as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3. Her academic background, paired with extensive international teaching experience, allows her to bring both strong pedagogical knowledge and practical, child-centred expertise to her work.

A significant part of her professional journey includes serving as the Advanced Learners Coordinator at an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School, where she designed enriched pathways, interest-based projects, and mentorship opportunities for high-ability learners. Her collaborative work with learning support teams has also strengthened her ability to assist learners who may need additional, light-touch reinforcement in specific academic areas—always with sensitivity, encouragement, and a strengths-based mindset.

Upasna is deeply committed to building core “how to learn” skills in every child. She integrates goal setting, organisation, reflection, and self-advocacy into her planning, helping students understand themselves as learners and develop confidence and independence that extend beyond the classroom.

Literacy is one of Upasna’s greatest passions. She is dedicated to fostering a love for reading and has hands-on experience using the Oxford Reading Tree program to support emerging readers, develop fluency, and strengthen comprehension skills through structured, enjoyable pathways.

Beyond her direct work with students, Upasna contributes to the global education community as a certified NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) School Visitor. In this capacity, she participates in accreditation visits, reviews school practices, and helps institutions uphold high standards of teaching, learning, and wellbeing.

With a rich blend of international curriculum experience, strong academic qualifications, and a warm, student-centred philosophy, Upasna brings both expertise and heartfelt dedication to every learner she supports. She is committed to ensuring that each child feels successful, inspired, and confident in their ability to grow.
