As a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW), Tiara is a client-centered Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a passion for working with individuals of all ages. Tiara is a motivated clinical social worker that has experience working with various clients with diverse needs. Tiara is currently completing her clinical counselling hours for completion of her Masters of Social Work degree. Tiara has worked in the human services field for over a decade.

Tiara believes that with positive support and assisting clients in developing appropriate coping mechanisms, individuals can effectively and successfully manage their physical, emotional difficulties and mental health needs.

Her area of expertise include: addictions, codependency, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, women’s health issues (post-partum, perinatal loss), domestic violence suicidal ideation, self-harm, eating disorders, conflict, boundaries, and trauma.

Tiara’s theoretical orientation is integrative, multicultural, and client centered, with an
emphasis on a strength based and trauma informed practice. Tiara is passionate about assisting clients in healing from trauma, building self-worth, improving their communication and reaching their counselling goals. With compassion and understanding, Tiara works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are seeking to achieve. 

Tiara utilizes play/expressive art therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness practises, solution focused therapy, and narrative therapy techniques to assist clients in reaching their potential and attaining their goals while working on their own unique healing journey.

Tiara also offers equine assisted therapy for individuals that are looking for a unique approach to therapy, outside of traditional talk therapy. Tiara’s goal is to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for client’s to discover themselves and build on strengths, and positive coping strategies. Through the variety of approaches used, Tiara is able to best address the needs of her clients. 

In her free time, Tiara enjoys spending it with her husband, two daughters and dog Teddy. She loves being outdoors, spends most summers at the lake and appreciates travelling and living in the moment.
