Feline Good: An Animal-Assisted Therapy Group for Teens (Ages 12–16)

Feline Good is a unique 7-session Animal-Assisted Therapy group designed for teens ages 12–16 who are experiencing social or mental health challenges.
Open to teens of all genders, this supportive program provides opportunities to build confidence, connection, and emotional well-being through Animal-Assisted Therapy, skill-building, and community involvement.
Participants will complete volunteer training through the Regina Humane Society while developing practical skills in communication, self-care, emotional wellness, and building healthy relationships with both people and animals.
This group is designed for teens who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
Along the way, participants will:
- Learn strategies for managing emotions and stress
- Gain hands-on experience caring for animals
- Build confidence through volunteering and community involvement
- Connect with like-minded peers in a safe, supportive environment
Dates: Mondays | September 14 – November 2, 2026
No group October 12 for Thanksgiving
Time: 4:15 – 5:45 p.m.
First session at Joshua Tree Learning Centre, with remaining sessions at the Regina Humane Society
