Social Communication Group – Level 1 (Ages 8–12)

Ready to build on existing social communication skills?

This supportive summer intensive is designed for children who are ready to strengthen more advanced social communication skills, deepen peer connections, and build confidence navigating social situations in a small, encouraging group setting.

Using a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach, participants will continue developing practical skills in ways that feel natural, authentic, and empowering.

Focus areas include:

  • Understanding social cues
  • Building peer confidence
  • Perspective-taking
  • Flexible thinking

Through games, activities, books, videos, and guided social experiences, children will strengthen self-awareness, social understanding, and confidence connecting with others.

  • Date: Sept. 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13, 2026 (4 sessions)
  • Time: Tuesdays from 5:15pm to 6:15pm
  • Location: Joshua Tree Learning Centre – Blue Whale Office
  • Maximum 5 participants
