Nina GueguenRegister Psychologist (Provisional)
Nina Gueguen-Nielsen is a Registered Psychologist (#1101, provisional) and holds a Professional A Teaching Certificate. Nina completed a Masters in Educational Psychology in 2018, a Bachelor of Education in 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) in 2010. She is registered as a Provisional Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and is a member of the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation.
Nina has a range of experience working in education. During the last three years she has been working in the areas of counselling, assessment, and behaviour intervention in schools. Prior to this, Nina worked as a classroom teacher and Learning Resource Teacher, providing intensive reading intervention to struggling readers. Within the school setting, Nina has provided brief solution-focused counselling and assessment with children and adolescents dealing with a variety difficulties such as grief, trauma, challenging behaviours, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
Nina offers assessment for Learning Disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Intellectual Disabilities to children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, she offers counselling services to children and adolescents and has fostered an interest in mindfulness and present-moment focused strategies informed by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Solution Focused methods.
