SUMMARY:Feline Good: An Animal-Assisted Therapy Group for Teens (Ages 12–16)
DESCRIPTION:Feline Good is a unique 7-session Animal-Assisted Therapy group designed for teens ages 12–16 who are experiencing social or mental health challenges. \nOpen to teens of all genders\, this supportive program provides opportunities to build confidence\, connection\, and emotional well-being through Animal-Assisted Therapy\, skill-building\, and community involvement. \nParticipants will complete volunteer training through the Regina Humane Society while developing practical skills in communication\, self-care\, emotional wellness\, and building healthy relationships with both people and animals. \nThis group is designed for teens who may be experiencing mental health challenges. \nAlong the way\, participants will: \n\nLearn strategies for managing emotions and stress\nGain hands-on experience caring for animals\nBuild confidence through volunteering and community involvement\nConnect with like-minded peers in a safe\, supportive environment\n\nDates: Mondays | September 14 – November 2\, 2026 \nNo group October 12 for Thanksgiving \nTime: 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. \nFirst session at Joshua Tree Learning Centre\, with remaining sessions at the Regina Humane Society \nFacilitated by: Brittany Doncaster\, MA\, CCC\, ADHD-CCSP \nAssisted by: Alexandria Jackson\, Practicum Student \nSpace is limited to just 8 participants\, so early registration is encouraged! \n\n306-546-5674\nre*******@****************ng.com\n\nHelp your teen discover the power of connection\, compassion\, and giving back through Animal-Assisted Therapy.
